In the Mailtrap app, open API Tokens, create a token, and grant the required resource permissions. For Email API sending, docs also direct you to Email API/SMTP → API Tokens → Add Token. Store the token securely; docs state it can be sent either as Authorization: Bearer {api_token} or Api-Token: {api_token}, and it does not expire unless you reset it manually.
