iam.googleapis.com
Google Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM) lets administrators manage access control, roles, service accounts, and related policy resources for Google Cloud. The service also includes newer policy binding and principal access boundary resources under later API versions.
iam.googleapis.com exposes a Google Cloud IAM HTTP API and is also targeted by the `gcloud iam` CLI; both use Google Cloud OAuth 2.0 bearer-token authentication.
- Google Cloud IAM APIdiscovered
- gcloud iam CLIdiscovered
Authenticate to Google Cloud and obtain an access token as described in Authenticate to IAM. The easiest paths are to use your existing gcloud CLI credentials or Application Default Credentials (ADC) to mint a short-lived OAuth 2.0 bearer token with scopes such as https://www.googleapis.com/auth/cloud-platform.
