Enable the Firebase App Distribution API. Then authenticate using Google Cloud authentication to obtain an OAuth 2.0 access token for scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/cloud-platform. The easiest headless path in Firebase docs is to create and use a service account key, then fetch an access token (the Firebase blog shows oauth2l fetch --credentials /path/to/service-account.json --scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/cloud-platform).

Install the Firebase CLI, then run firebase login:ci to generate a token for non-interactive environments. Pass it to the CLI via the FIREBASE_TOKEN environment variable. Firebase docs describe this as a legacy option for CI/headless use.
