Sign in to Figma, open Settings from the file browser account menu, go to the Security tab, and under Personal access tokens click Generate new token. Choose expiration and scopes, then copy the token once and store it securely. Guide: Personal access tokens.

An organization administrator can create this in the developer hub tokens page. Use the REST API tab and click Generate REST API token, then set name, expiration, scopes, and resource access. This requires admin access and may require MFA as described in Plan access tokens.
