Figma is a collaborative design and product-development platform for interface design, prototyping, whiteboarding, and developer handoff. It also provides organization user-provisioning via SCIM and AI-agent access to design context through its MCP server.
Figma exposes a REST API at api.figma.com with OpenAPI, a separate tenant-scoped SCIM API on www.figma.com, and MCP servers for hosted and desktop use.

Point your MCP client at the server URL and approve access in the browser. The server supports OAuth Dynamic Client Registration (RFC 7591), so the client registers itself automatically — no developer-portal app, client_id, or client_secret to create.
Sign in to Figma, open Settings from the file browser account menu, go to the Security tab, and under Personal access tokens click Generate new token. Choose expiration and scopes, then copy the token once and store it securely. Guide: Personal access tokens.
An organization administrator can create this in the developer hub tokens page. Use the REST API tab and click Generate REST API token, then set name, expiration, scopes, and resource access. This requires admin access and may require MFA as described in Plan access tokens.
An organization administrator generates this from Figma Admin Settings. In Login and Provisioning, open SCIM Provisioning, click Generate Token, and copy the token when shown. You also need the Tenant ID from SAML SSO to form the SCIM base URL. Guide: SCIM API Reference.
