Log in to the DGFT portal at DGFT, go to Services → eBRC → API Credential, then choose Generate credential. DGFT registers the user for API usage and provides a one-time downloadable credential file; exporters can later regenerate the secret key if needed. The guide says you must be a registered DGFT user linked to an IEC, and you must provide the public IP address from which API calls will be made so DGFT can allowlist it. The technical spec says the credential file expires and only one active credential is allowed at a time.
