For the Descript MCP, the MCP client/AI assistant starts the OAuth flow for you. Add the Descript MCP server URL https://api.descript.com/v2/mcp in your MCP-compatible assistant, then sign in to Descript in the browser and click Allow. Descript's docs say no API token is needed, and the connection attaches to the Descript Drive you're currently logged into. See the custom MCP setup guide and MCP overview.
