For REST and client-library access, authenticate to Google Cloud and obtain an access token as described in Authenticate for using REST. For local development, the easiest path is to set up Application Default Credentials from the Google Cloud authentication guides. For CLI use, sign in with the gcloud CLI authentication flow, typically via gcloud auth login or gcloud auth application-default login.
