Binary Authorization is a Google Cloud service for policy-based deployment validation and control of container images and related platform policies. It lets organizations define attestors and policies that govern what software can be deployed.
Binary Authorization exposes a Google Cloud REST API at `https://binaryauthorization.googleapis.com` plus `gcloud` CLI commands under `gcloud beta container binauthz`; both use Google Cloud authentication with bearer access tokens.

For REST and client-library access, authenticate to Google Cloud and obtain an access token as described in Authenticate for using REST. For local development, the easiest path is to set up Application Default Credentials from the Google Cloud authentication guides. For CLI use, sign in with the gcloud CLI authentication flow, typically via gcloud auth login or gcloud auth application-default login.
