Create OAuth 2.0 credentials in the Google API Console, then use one of Google's supported OAuth flows for server-side web apps, JavaScript apps, or installed apps. Request the YouTube Reporting scopes your app needs; the docs state this API uses OAuth 2.0 and that service accounts and device flow are not supported for YouTube Reporting/Analytics.
