Use the local appliance root account on your VMware Cloud Director appliance. The Cloud Director Appliance API docs state that for Basic auth, the root user must be used; no Broadcom developer credential is issued for this API. Cloud Director Appliance bearer session token bearer discovered

Create a session token from the appliance's sessions API on your own VMware Cloud Director appliance, then send it as a Bearer token. The docs say you can use a Bearer token retrieved from the sessions API; the appliance listens on port 5480. See Cloud Director Appliance API.
