Umami is a privacy-focused web analytics platform offered as open-source self-hosted software and as Umami Cloud. It collects website analytics and provides dashboards, reporting, and event tracking.
Umami exposes documented HTTP APIs for Cloud and self-hosted analytics management, plus a public event-ingestion HTTP endpoint; no GraphQL or MCP surface was found, and no documented first-party CLI on umami.is was confirmed as targeting umami.is endpoints.

Log in to your Umami Cloud account, open Settings from the profile menu, then go to API keys and click Create key. The docs show Cloud API calls use this key in the x-umami-api-key header against https://api.umami.is/v1. See API Key.
For a self-hosted Umami instance, create or use an application user account, then POST your username and password to your instance's /api/auth/login endpoint to obtain a bearer token. Send that token as Authorization: Bearer <token> on subsequent API requests. See Authentication.
