SigNoz is an open-source observability platform for collecting and analyzing metrics, traces, and logs. It is available as both a self-hosted deployment and a managed SigNoz Cloud service.
SigNoz exposes a documented HTTP API for its observability platform and a hosted MCP server for SigNoz Cloud; both require authentication, using service-account API keys for the HTTP API and OAuth for the MCP server.

In SigNoz, go to Service Accounts. Create or open a service account under Settings > Service Accounts, assign it a role, then open its Keys tab and click Add Key. Copy the key when it is shown; the docs note the value is shown only once. For limited read-only access, SigNoz also documents a viewer self-service flow in Self-Service API Keys for Viewers.
Point your MCP client at the server URL and approve access in the browser. The server supports OAuth Dynamic Client Registration (RFC 7591), so the client registers itself automatically — no developer-portal app, client_id, or client_secret to create.
