shortcut.com

Shortcut is a project management and issue tracking platform for software teams, with features for stories, epics, iterations, docs, roadmaps, and objectives. It lets teams organize and automate development work across a shared workspace.

2 integrations · MCP · REST

Shortcut exposes a REST API (v3 docs with machine-readable Swagger/OpenAPI links advertised but not directly resolved here) and a hosted MCP server; both require authentication, using either a workspace API token for REST or Shortcut account OAuth for MCP.

Credentials
Shortcut API tokenapi_keyGet key ↗

In Shortcut, go to Shortcut API Tokens or navigate to Settings → Your Account → API Tokens. Enter a name and click Generate Token. Tokens are user- and workspace-specific and grant complete access to the workspace, so store them in an environment variable rather than source code.

Shortcut account OAuth authorization for hosted MCPoauth2Set up OAuth ↗

Use an MCP client that supports remote MCP OAuth, then add the hosted Shortcut MCP server URL https://mcp.shortcut.com/mcp as described in the MCP Server help article. On first use, the client prompts you to authorize with your Shortcut account; no API token or local setup is required for the hosted server.
