In the Segment app, go to API Tokens and create a token. The Config API auth docs state that access tokens are used in the Authorization header as Bearer <token>. Keep the token value after creation.
Open your source in the Segment app and copy its write key as described in Locate your Write Key. For the HTTP Tracking API, use the write key for HTTP Basic auth; the docs say the write key is the username and the password is blank.
