Rize is automatic time-tracking software for individuals and teams that captures work activity in the background and organizes it into time entries, projects, clients, and reporting. It also offers team analytics, profitability tracking, and integrations with other work tools.
Rize exposes two developer integration surfaces on rize.io: an authenticated GraphQL API at api.rize.io and an OAuth-protected MCP server at mcp.rize.io.

In the Rize web app at app.rize.io, go to Settings > API and generate an API key. Store it securely; Rize only shows the full value when you create it and later displays it masked. For local/CI use, Rize's agent guidance recommends putting it in RIZE_API_KEY rather than pasting it into chat or logs.
Point your MCP client at the server URL and approve access in the browser. The server supports OAuth Dynamic Client Registration (RFC 7591), so the client registers itself automatically — no developer-portal app, client_id, or client_secret to create.
