Restate is a runtime for building durable workflows, stateful services, and resilient AI agents. It can be self-hosted as a single binary or used as the managed Restate Cloud service.
Restate exposes a self-hosted/cloud HTTP ingress API for invoking services, an Admin HTTP API, a public docs MCP server, and the `restate` CLI; Restate Cloud uses API-key Bearer auth, while self-hosted auth is instance-dependent.
