Pipedream is an integration platform for connecting apps, APIs, and AI agents with managed authentication, reusable actions, triggers, and workflows. It lets developers build product integrations and agent tool access across thousands of third-party services.
Pipedream exposes a project-scoped Connect REST API, a hosted remote MCP server endpoint for app-specific tools, and the `pd` CLI; all developer surfaces require authentication.

In your Pipedream workspace, open API settings, click New OAuth Client, name the client, and click Create. Copy the client_secret immediately because it is shown only once, then copy the client_id from the client list. The Connect quickstart also provisions these credentials for you when you run `pd init connect`.
Create a short-lived Connect token on your server by calling Create Connect token with your Pipedream OAuth access token, the target external_user_id, and the x-pd-environment header. The response returns a temporary bearer token and a connect_link_url for that end user.
