In your Paddle dashboard, go to Authentication at Paddle > Developer Tools > Authentication. Open the API keys tab, click New API key, choose permissions and an expiry date, save, then copy the key once and store it securely. Use sandbox keys (prefixed pdl_sdbx_) for sandbox surfaces and live keys for live surfaces.
Configure the Paddle docs MCP server from Docs MCP server. Some clients then prompt you to authenticate with Kapa.ai; in Codex the docs show running codex mcp login paddle-docs --scopes openid and opening the printed authorization URL after appending &resource=https%3A%2F%2Fpaddle-docs.mcp.kapa.ai%2F. Complete that browser login flow when prompted by your MCP client.
