Use Google Cloud authentication to obtain an access token for the Cloud OS Login API. The easiest path is to sign in with the Google Cloud CLI and let Application Default Credentials or user credentials mint tokens: see Authenticate to Compute Engine. For app-based access, create OAuth client credentials in Google Cloud Console API Credentials, enable the Cloud OS Login API for your project, and request one of the documented scopes such as https://www.googleapis.com/auth/cloud-platform, https://www.googleapis.com/auth/compute, https://www.googleapis.com/auth/cloud-platform.read-only, or https://www.googleapis.com/auth/compute.readonly as required by the method.

In Google Cloud Console API Credentials, create an API key for a project with the Cloud OS Login API enabled. The discovery document says the key query parameter is accepted and is required unless you provide an OAuth 2.0 token.
