Authentication

Milvus access token (`username:password` or Zilliz Cloud API key) compound discovered

$ milvus_cli connect -uri <uri> -t <token>

For self-hosted Milvus with authentication enabled, use the username and password configured for your Milvus instance and concatenate them as username:password (for example root:milvus) before sending as a bearer token. The REST API docs describe this directly in Get Started. For Milvus CLI, pass the same value with connect -t or set ZILLIZ_TOKEN as shown in Milvus_CLI Command Reference. If you are using Zilliz Cloud instead of self-hosted Milvus, the CLI docs state -t also accepts a Zilliz Cloud API key in Milvus_CLI Command Reference.
