Marqeta provides card issuing and payment infrastructure for building and managing card programs, transaction controls, and related reporting. Its platform includes operational APIs for card-program workflows and a separate analytics/reporting API.
Marqeta exposes two public REST APIs for developers—the Core API and the DiVA reporting API—and a local npm-delivered MCP server that wraps Core API operations for AI agents; no GraphQL API or hosted CLI surface was found.

Create an account and sandbox via Core API Quick Start. After signing in and creating a sandbox, go to the Marqeta Dashboard development page where your personal API keys and a sample cURL are provided. Use the API username and password shown there.
To get DiVA API credentials, open Reports in the Marqeta Dashboard and use the flow under Creating your DiVA API access tokens to generate your tokens in the Dashboard. Marqeta docs state the DiVA API uses an application token as the HTTP Basic username and an access token as the password. If you do not have access, contact your Marqeta representative as described in DiVA API authentication.
