Maple is an open-source observability platform for traces, logs, metrics, and browser sessions built on OpenTelemetry and ClickHouse. It can run as a hosted service or locally as a single binary with embedded storage and dashboard.
Maple exposes an OTLP-style ingest HTTP API at ingest.maple.dev authenticated by a Bearer project ingest key, a public no-auth local-mode HTTP server on localhost, an MCP server documented on maple.dev with undetermined connect URL/auth details, and a `maple` CLI that supports local mode and hosted-workspace login via `maple login`.

Sign in to Maple app, open your project, then create or copy an API key from Settings → API Keys. The docs describe this key as project-scoped and write-only; send it as Authorization: Bearer <key> to https://ingest.maple.dev. During bootstrap only, the literal placeholder MAPLE_TEST is accepted by the ingest gateway and discarded, but replace it with a real key for production use.
