Linear GraphQL API

In Linear, open Security & Access and create a personal API key. Workspace admins can control whether members may create keys; admins can always create them. When creating a key, you can scope it to permissions such as Read, Write, Admin, Create issues, and Create comments, and optionally restrict it to specific teams.

Point your MCP client at the server URL and approve access in the browser. The server accepts a Client ID Metadata Document (CIMD), so the client authenticates with its own hosted URL as the client_id — nothing to register.
