In Kestra Enterprise, open your profile and click + Create API Token for a user token, or go to Administration / Service Accounts / API Tokens to create a service-account token. Follow the steps in API Tokens in Kestra and Service Accounts in Kestra Enterprise. Copy the token when it is shown; Kestra says it will not be displayed again.

Create or use a Kestra user account with Basic Auth enabled on your Kestra instance. The API guide shows authenticating requests with -u username:password, and kestractl supports --username and --password when adding a context. See Extend Kestra with the API and kestractl.
