In the Maxim web app, go to Maxim API keys or navigate to Settings → API keys, click Generate new, give the key a name, and copy the generated value. Use this key in the x-maxim-api-key header for HTTP APIs, or set MAXIM_API_KEY for the CLI.

Maxim log repository ID compound Get key ↗

Create or identify the target log repository in your Maxim workspace, then copy its repository ID. The OTLP ingestion docs show this value must be sent alongside your API key as the x-maxim-repo-id header when posting traces to Maxim's OTLP endpoint. See Ingesting via OTLP Endpoint.
