Checkly is a synthetic monitoring and testing platform for monitoring APIs, websites, and user workflows, plus related incident communication and investigation features. It provides checks, status pages, dashboards, traces, and AI-assisted root cause analysis for engineering teams.
Checkly exposes a REST-style Public API, a remote MCP server, and an npm-distributed CLI; all developer surfaces require Checkly-issued credentials.

Create an API key in Checkly from User Settings → API keys by clicking Create API key. For account-scoped non-user credentials on Enterprise plans, admins can instead create a service API key from Account Settings → API keys. You also need the target account ID from Account Settings → General.
$ npx checkly loginAcquired by the CLI — running npx checkly login opens the auth flow and stores the credential.
Point your MCP client at the server URL and approve access in the browser. The server accepts a Client ID Metadata Document (CIMD), so the client authenticates with its own hosted URL as the client_id — nothing to register.
