Cal.com is a scheduling platform and scheduling API for individuals, teams, and organizations. It lets users publish booking links, manage availability, and embed scheduling workflows into their own products.
Cal.com exposes a v2 REST API at `https://api.cal.com/v2`, a hosted MCP server at `https://mcp.cal.com/mcp`, and an official `calcom` CLI (`@calcom/cli`); the API uses API keys, OAuth bearer tokens, and deprecated platform headers, while the hosted MCP server uses OAuth and the CLI logs in with an API key.

In the Cal.com app, go to Settings → Developer → API Keys and create an API key. Use it as Authorization: Bearer <apiKey>. Docs note test keys are prefixed cal_ and live keys cal_live_.
Point your MCP client at the server URL and approve access in the browser. The server supports OAuth Dynamic Client Registration (RFC 7591), so the client registers itself automatically — no developer-portal app, client_id, or client_secret to create.
For existing Platform customers only, create an OAuth client first, then open the Platform settings to retrieve the platform client ID and secret. Cal.com documents sending them together as x-cal-client-id and x-cal-secret-key headers for deprecated platform endpoints.
