Authorization: Basic <credential>

For a single-customer integration, sign in to your BambooHR account, open the user context menu from your name in the lower-left corner, and choose API Keys to generate a key. The getting started guide describes this flow and notes you need sufficient permissions. See Getting Started With The API.

Create a free account in the BambooHR Developer Portal, create an application there, and copy its client_id and client_secret. Then configure your redirect URI exactly as registered and run the BambooHR OAuth 2.0 authorization-code flow described in Getting Started With The API.
